This month’s post is a delicious crock pot cheesy chicken.
The recipe comes from our cousin Matt’s wife Crystal. A few months ago, our cousin Angie (Matt’s sister) sent us a cookbook of recipes she and her family enjoy; this recipe is among some amazing recipes in that book. Thanks for the book Angie, we love it!
I was really excited to try this recipe because it is super easy to prepare and the slow cooker does the rest.
This meal was a great Easter dinner; our family never had a traditional Easter meal (from what I can remember), but we always had candy and hard boiled eggs that we dyed pretty colors. (Type hard boiled eggs in the search box to see an easy way to make hard boiled eggs)
This year, we had a big breakfast which included: Mickey Mouse Waffles (from our cool Mickey Mouse waffle iron) gluten free for me (we use the gluten free bisquick), eggs and bacon. Then, we ate this cheesy chicken for dinner.
This chicken is delicious! The chicken is really moist and the cheese sauce is wonderful. We served the chicken over rice along with mixed vegetables. Let’s not forget dessert of Easter candy.
I hope everyone has a lovely Easter. I hope at some point during the holiday we all stop and reflect on the importance of the Savior and pay respect to Him; he who gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us to live.
Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken
6 chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray; put chicken in slow cooker or crock pot. Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Mix soups together and pour over chicken. Cover and cook 6-8 hours. Serve over rice.
